Depression Linked to Increased Risk of Gynecologic Cancers: Study Finds

Key Findings:

  • Higher depression scores (PHQ-9) were significantly associated with an increased risk of ovarian (OC) and endometrial cancers (EC), while no significant link was observed for cervical cancer (CC).
  • Multivariable logistic regression highlighted a positive correlation between depression and Gynecological Cancer, OC, and EC, and subgroup analyses revealed variability in the association based on race and marital status.
