15 Apr 2025 • A new analysis involving 1,065 eyes has confirmed that 360° selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) offers superior outcomes compared to 180° SLT in treating open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension.

The analysis found that the 360° approach achieved significantly greater intraocular pressure (IOP) reduction at 1, 6, and 12 months (mean differences: −0.99, −1.37, and −1.41 mmHg respectively), along with a higher success ratio (OR: 1.63).

These findings support 360° SLT as the preferred initial laser therapy for maximizing IOP control without compromising safety.
