Chief Consultant, Headache and Neuroophthalmology Services

While most headaches are benign, a small but critical subset signals life-threatening pathology. This session focuses on recognizing red flags that help clinicians differentiate routine headaches from ominous presentations requiring urgent evaluation.

Dr M V Francis will discuss high-risk headache patterns, warning signs on history and examination, and the rational use of neuroimaging and investigations. Through practical clinical scenarios, the session aims to sharpen clinical judgment, ensure timely intervention, and prevent missed diagnoses in patients presenting with headache.
