Changing Practice: April Round-up!

Assessment of left ventricular systolic function has a central role in the evaluation of cardiac disease. LV function together with RV function and fluid responsiveness permits to assess the pathophysiology of shock or respiratory failure, to diagnose the cause and to monitor the patient over the time. The test includes four basic parameters: total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglycerides.
