Early Medication Abortion vs. Standard Care: Are Both Equally Effective?

7 Nov 2024 • Early medication abortion, initiated before confirming intrauterine pregnancy, was as effective as standard delayed treatment in achieving a complete abortion, found a study published in the NEJM.

The early-start group had a success rate of 95.2%, compared to 95.3% in the standard group, with no significant difference between the two.
