Extended half-life (EHL) recombinant factor VIII drugs promise excellent prophylaxis by reducing dose frequency, enhancing compliance, and improving quality of life while maintaining safety and efficacy. This session will provide a detailed overview of the rationale for developing EHL coagulation factors and their use in the treatment of haemophilia A, with a focus on the indications, efficacy, and safety of the existing EHL-FVIII products.
