Triple Therapy Triumphs Over Monotherapy in Keloid Treatment
5 Mar 2025 • A recent randomized controlled trial comparing intralesional triple combination therapy (triamcinolone acetonide, 5-fluorouracil, and hyaluronidase) with triamcinolone acetonide monotherapy in treating keloids revealed significant differences in treatment efficacy.
Group A (triple combination) demonstrated a remarkable 54.55% improvement in Vancouver Scar Scale scores by the final follow-up, compared to just 36.65% in Group B (triamcinolone).
The study concludes that intralesional triple combination therapy is a superior option for keloid management.
