Key Findings:

• The analysis found that glaucoma increases the risk of DR (OR = 1.080), while higher IOP also raises DR susceptibility (OR = 1.100).
• Conversely, DR contributes to a heightened risk of glaucoma (OR = 1.024) and IOP elevation (OR = 1.057).
• Multivariable MR confirmed glaucoma as an independent risk factor for DR (OR = 1.069).

These findings emphasize the need for early detection and integrated management of both diseases to prevent irreversible vision loss.
