Dr. Debashish Chowdhurychairs this case-based discussion Dr. Vikram Sharma with real-world insights. The session explores the evolving role of gepants in prophylaxis and their application in managing breakthrough migraine attacks, offering practical strategies for real-world clinical scenarios.

Special case: CGRP antagonists in Prophylaxis: Managing Breakthrough Attacks

RCP Migraine 2.0: Review of Current Practice in Migraine is a focused one-day virtual academic initiative dedicated to advancing contemporary migraine care through evidence-based discussions and real-world clinical insights. Scheduled for September 11th, 2026, this high-impact program brings together leading experts to address critical gaps in acute migraine management and explore emerging therapeutic paradigms.

Under the scientific leadership of Dr. Debashish Chowdhury, the conference will center on the evolving role of novel therapies, with a special focus on CGRP antagonists such as rimegepant, and their application in routine clinical practice.

The agenda is designed to deliver clinically relevant, practice-oriented insights, covering:
- Limitations of Conventional Therapies – Understanding medication overuse, triptan resistance, and unmet patient needs
- Expanding Acute Treatment Options – Managing the triptan-insufficient response with newer agents like gepants
- Limitations of Conventional Therapies – Understanding medication overuse, triptan resistance, and unmet patient needs - Expanding Acute Treatment Options – Managing the triptan-insufficient response with newer agents like gepants
- Burden of Migraine & Emerging Evidence – Clinical and patient-centric rationale for next-generation therapies - CGRP antagonists in Prophylaxis – Addressing breakthrough attacks and redefining preventive strategies
- Complex Case Discussions – Real-world approaches in migraine prophylaxis with newer agents and status migrainosus with evolving emergency care protocols

Through expert-led keynotes and case-based discussions, RCP Migraine 2.0 aims to bridge the gap between clinical evidence and real-world practice, enabling clinicians to make informed, patient-centric treatment decisions.
