9 Feb 2024 • The efficacy of IVT+thrombectomy in acute ischemic stroke might be time-dependent. The benefit associated with intravenous thrombolysis prior to thrombectomy was time dependent and lessened with longer times between symptom onset and expected administration of intravenous thrombolysis

A significant association between IVT plus thrombectomy and favorable functional outcomes at 90 days came to light, but this benefit diminished beyond 2 hours 20 minutes from symptom onset to expected IVT administration.

The aOR for a 1-step improvement in modified Rankin Scale scores decreased from 1.49 at 1 hour to 1.04 at 3 hours.

After 2 hours 20 minutes, the benefit associated with IVT plus thrombectomy was not statistically significant and the point estimate crossed the null association at 3 hours 14 minutes.
