CDSCO approves PCR kits for Infectious disease detection.
16 Feb 2023 • The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) has granted licensing rights for the manufacture of Applied Biosystems TaqPath PCR kits for infectious diseases like Multi-Drug Resistant Tuberculosis (MTB MDR), M. Tuberculosis complex (MTB), Hepatitis B virus (HBV), Hepatitis C virus (HCV), Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), and genetic analysis (HLA B27). These kits are designed to deliver confidence and reliability for diagnostic development and testing and will be MADE IN INDIA in association with a Pune-based company. For use in patient care for disease screening and diagnosis, tracking of therapy response and disease progression, and identifying genetic risk factors, these kits have undergone analytical and clinical validation. "Laboratories in India and throughout the world that depend on our unique products can now also benefit from a far wider choice of high-quality diagnostic tests. Additionally, we would provide data analysis tools so that labs could provide correct results to their clients. In Indian diagnostics, this is a significant turning point" stated the MD of the Pune-based company.
