Intensive BP Control Mitigates Cardiovascular Risk in Women with Early-Onset Hypertension and Type 2 Diabetes

Analyzing data from 3,792 individuals, researchers found that each decade earlier age of hypertension diagnosis increased cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk by 11%.
The study findings particularly highlight that women with type 2 diabetes and early-onset hypertension face heightened CVD risks compared to men. However, intensive blood pressure control strategies appeared to mitigate this risk in women but not in men.
