A recent study revealed this pattern and discovers that 25% of the total healthcare workers surveyed were ready to quit due to such violence. A study by the Indian Medical Association indicated that 75% of doctors had dealt with workplace violence even before the pandemic.
One of the coordinators of the Violence Study of Healthcare Workers and Systems (ViSHWaS), which surveyed a global sample of doctors, nurses, and hospital employees, is Dr. Kashyap. They made contact with researchers from the Middle East, Africa, South America, and North America.
