Karnataka Passes Resolution to Abolish NEET

The resolution underscores NEET's adverse effects on medical education access for rural and underprivileged students, arguing it undermines state rights to manage medical college admissions. Karnataka has called on the Centre to exempt the state from NEET and base medical admissions on its own Common Entrance Test. However, NEET remains the sole mandatory all-India exam for medical admissions under the NMC Act and UGC guidelines.
