High-frequency Ultrasound With RANKL & OPG Detection: A Reliable Alternative to MRI in Early RA Screening
6 Dec 2023 • High-frequency ultrasound, coupled with serum RANKL and OPG detection, was found to be as effective as MRI in early rheumatoid arthritis (RA) screening, providing a safe, simple, and cost-efficient approach for early RA detection.
This combination demonstrated comparable detection rates for carpal synovitis, joint effusion, and tenosynovitis compared to MRI, affirming its prowess in early RA detection.
Ultrasound diagnosis has the advantages of being quick, inexpensive, and repeatable, making it the preferred choice of imaging examination for RA patients at an early stage.
