19 Jan 2023 • Published on the 18th of January, 2023 For the first time in nearly three years- since the pandemic numbers first started rising in March of 2020- India reported less than 100 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, as infections continue to drop to fresh lows. Also a reason to cheer, no COVID deaths were reported for four days at a stretch, again a new first for India since the March of 2020. India had first reported more than 100 cases in a day on 27th March, 2020, and daily tally hadn’t fallen to double digits since then (as per TOI’s database).
