22 Jul 2024 • The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has launched a booklet titled “Headache Algorithm: A Guide to Headache Management,” crafted by eight leading headache experts in India.

• This initiative aims to standardize the approach to headache disorders across the country, focusing particularly on migraines.
• The booklet delves into the prevalence, causes, diagnosis, and management of headaches, featuring sections on primary and secondary headache care, red flag considerations, and appropriate times for specialist referral. It provides evidence-based strategies and decision algorithms to empower clinicians in optimizing treatment approaches, ensuring informed and effective patient care.
