No Clear Evidence Linking 'Text Neck' to Neck & Upper Limb Disabilities in Young Smartphone Users
21 Feb 2024 • Researchers investigated the correlation between neck flexion, a common posture while using smartphones known as "Text Neck," and neck & upper-limb disabilities.
Despite the prevalence of sustained neck flexion during phone use, the study found no significant association between this posture & Disabilities of Arm, Shoulder, and Hand (DASH) scores, Neck Disability Index (NDI) scores, or grip & lateral pinch strength.
