Cholesterol is essential for our existence. But excess of LDL cholesterol can invite major cardiovascular events. Sadly, in India, ASCVD strikes a decade earlier, carries more malignant courses, and ends up in high mortality. Now, we have availability of many lipid-lowering drugs, it's important and an urgent necessity to diagnose dyslipidemia as early as possible and initiate the appropriate treatment.
